CrystalDiskInfo 3.3.0にて、
SiI3512(非RAIDのBIOS)に接続した2台のうち1台しかSMARTを取得できなかったので、ソースコードを見せていただいたところ、IOCTL_STORAGE_PREDICT_FAILUREが使われていませんでした。試しに、
WindowsXP SP3 + Sil3512(ドライバ1.3.71.1) + WD1001FALS + WD15EADS
という環境で、IOCTL_STORAGE_PREDICT_FAILUREを試したところ、2台とものSMARTを取得できました。

ATAコマンドをパススルーで送って取得できない場合の代替手段として、IOCTL_STORAGE_PREDICT_FAILUREを使ってみてはどうでしょうか。

添付ファイルにIOCTL_STORAGE_PREDICT_FAILUREのサンプルを貼っておきます。

7 64bitにおいて スリープ後に認識しない

   Win7 64bitにおいて
1回でもスリープにするとその後HDDの情報が不明と出て
全く見ることができません。

温度表示も下の数字が並んであるあたりも
変動する情報のほぼすべてが不明と出ます。

前のPC WinXPでは、休止状態からの復帰は可能でした。
何か不具合があるのでしょうか。

私の環境では全く問題がありませんでした。

環境依存の何かがありそうです。

とりあえず、スリープから復帰した状態で以下を試してみていただけないでしょうか。

1. 再検出(F6)
2. CrystalDiskInfo 自体の再起動

再検出で見えるようであれば、スリープ復帰後の処理を見直すことで改善できると思います。

再検出(F6)で検出したら、一からすべての表示が出ました。
ここのところを自動で行なってもらえるとありがたいですが、
関心事項なので、スリープから復帰したら必ずF6押します。

   サイドバーガジェット対応の準備を始めました。

とりあえずの技術デモ版で、UI の最適化や表示項目の検討はこれから時間をかけて行う予定です。

【インストール】
・添付 zip ファイルを解凍
・DiskInfo.exe を実行してください。
・CrystalDiskInfo.Gadget をダブルクリックしてガジェットをインストールしてください。

以上です。ガジェットの設定は一切なく起動時および1分ごとに情報を更新します。
温度情報そのものを更新するのは CrystalDiskInfo 本体側なので、自動更新機能を有効にしておく必要があります。

【技術的な話】
・DiskInfo.exe からガジェットへどのようにして温度情報を引き渡すべきか色々検討したのですが、とりあえず一番簡単なレジストリを使用することにしました。

レジストリ
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\software\\Crystal Dew World\\CrystalDiskInfo

・今後のサービス対応を考えると共有メモリを使うのが良さそうなのですが、参考になりそうなサンプルコードを探している段階です。

   嫁にはガジェットのデザインをけっちょんけちょんにダメ出しされてしまいましたが、技術的には完成したのでとりあえず公開します。

デザインをどうするかはこれから更に考えます。コードを書くよりもデザインを考える時間の方がずっと長いというのは哀しいものです。

【ガジェットのインストール】
・添付 zip ファイルを解凍
・CrystalDiskInfo.Gadget をダブルクリック(一応デジタル署名しています)

【注意点】
・ガジェット単体ではディスクの温度を取得することはできません。必ず CrystalDiskInfo 本体を起動してください。

【技術的な話題】
・ガジェット5秒ごとに最新情報を確認し、必要に応じて更新します。
・一つのガジェットにつき1台のディスクを監視できます。複数のディスクを監視したい場合は複数のガジェットを生成してください。(添付画像は2台監視している状態)

【その他】
ガジェットにマウスを持っていくとディスク名、容量、ドライブレターがツールチップとして表示されます。が、ツールチップ表示がないとどれがどれだかわからなくなってしまうので最終的にはドライブレターなどを表示する方向で考えてはいます。

HDD sizeの項目が有りますが、

1.何の為に
2・128〜1024まで何の目的で値を選択するのか

マニュアル・HELPが無いので分かりません。

HDD のベンチマークテストはテストに使うファイルの大きさによって結果が異なるためにテストファイルのサイズをユーザーが設定できるようにしています。

   Beta 以降に伴い新ツリーに以降します。
#32 までの方式と #35 の方式を統合したので多くの環境で HDD 情報が得られるようになったと思います。(外付けボード/RAID等は未対応)

やはり、フロッピーが原因のひとつのようですね。
フロッピーを除外してチェック出来れば良いのですが、WMI にあまり詳しくないのでそのようなことが出来るのかどうかはわかりません。いづれにせよ、問題が解決するだめはフロッピーが接続されている環境では選択できないようにするなど対処したいと思います。

やはり、フロッピードライブへのアクセス中に何らかの問題が発生しているのかもしれませんね。私が今までに試した環境のひとつには、FDD が接続されていましたが問題なく動作したので環境に依存するようですね。

   CrystalMark 2004R3をインストールして計測後、ランキングに登録しようとしましたが、
エントリーできません。

必要な情報を全て入力してくださいと出ます。

カントリーコードの右の▼をクリックしてもタブが白紙で何も設定できませんし、入力もできません。
Areaタブの右の▼をクリックしても白紙です。そこは自分で入力できたのでJPと入力したのですが・・・。

カントリーコードの入力ができないから必要な情報が埋まらず、エントリーできないのでしょうか?
そこはwindows7の64ビットに対応していないところなのでしょうか?

CrystalMark を解凍したフォルダ内に data フォルダは作成されているでしょうか?
解凍ソフトによっては、解凍時にフォルダ構成が再現されない場合がありますので。
手元の 7 x64 ではちゃんとカントリーコードが選択できるようになっています。

ICH だと使えることが多いとは思うのですが・・・
(1)/(2) では AAM 設定は変更できますか?できるようなら、
Intel(R) ICH10 Family 4 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 1 なら通るけど
Intel(R) ICH10 Family 2 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 2 ならダメとか
あるのかもしれません。

なんにせよ、コマンドを送った上で失敗しているようであればドライバが通してくれないのだと思います。

   SSDで盛り上がっている所で、どこにぶら下がるか悩んだのですが
3ware 9650SE-16MLでも最初の1台はSMARTが読めていますという報告という事で…

3wareの3DM 2上では、Spindle Speed 5400 RPM と表示されるのですが、
CrystalDiskInfoでは、Rotation Rate : 不明ですね。
見ている所が違うのかな???

しかし、Randum accessが遅くて泣けてくるというか、NCQが全然効いていない感じだ…
Arrayのstripe sizeを見直せば、多少は改善するかな?
PartitionのStarting offsetは512だったので、AFTでも問題無さそうなんですけどねぇ

HDD交換前のST3500630ASの時は、1/2のspeedが表示されていた気も…
